Senior Portraits
We did two sets of senior portraits for Ryan's cousin for her high school graduation. These pictures were used for a custom graduation announcement requested by her parents. Here are a few of the shots.

Disqualified
Alas, the judges for the Dgrin Challenges didn't pick our photos yet again. One of them was actually disqualified because it wasn't taken during the specified time period, although it was pretty cool. Link up soon. The next challenge is to emulate a photographer we admire. That could be a hard one, especially when there's no actual theme to go on!

The next challenge has been met! View all of the entries here! This challenge is over on Monday, April 20, so there is still hope for this entry yet! Lets hope we make it into the voting round!

Not this time
The Dgrin judges didn't enjoy our crazy genius of a photo (see this post). Take a look at those chosen for the final voting. Up next: Theme is "Book Cover" with the idea being that we should take a picture of something we'd use as the most alluring book cover EVAR; such that anyone who sees the "cover" would immediately want to pick it up and read it. We have a whole month for this challenge, so we have time to get the best one we can. Our progess will be posted. See the current entries for this challenge here.

Studio
New challenges (of the dgrin variety, see previous post) have renewed our interest in studio shots. The last challenge ("Chaos or Serenity in Black and White") started the creative juices flowing and Ryan came up with Dr. Chaos, complete with maniacal laugh. We're thinking of recreating the same shot in an actual studio with Ryan's leftover film from college (yes yes we still have film, large format, black and white no less); Possibly with a different, more mad scientist looking model. The results shall be glorious and will be uploaded to our site upon success. Up next: It's spring break which means no grad school classes for Lauren as she tries her hand at studio portraits.
